Goats
Emma, Our Mascot
Ehhhhh, ehhhh! When you come visit me, I am likely to say this in greeting: I make a unique sound, because, well, I am a unique goat! They call me the Mascot, I am not sure exactly why. They say I am little, but I have a big attitude! I weigh only about 15 pounds, I am a Nigerian Dwarf goat, but I am the one and only one in this entire herd with a pedigree registered with the American Dairy Goat Association. (Harumph! My bigger cousins and hangers-on always think they are just so, but I have it all over them, although I am discreet, and don’t lord it over them…too much…). On February 6th 2021, I was born to my mommy, Calamity Jane, and my dad, Zorro, along with my brother. I was only 3 pounds, and since I came out with a crooked jaw, some call me a ‘special needs’ goat. All I know is, I love Farmer Deb and my girls in the big barn. Come visit me sometime, talk to Farmer Deb, maybe you can even feed me and hold me.
