They now live with their chickens and goats and their latest rescue dog, Maylie, who arrived October 30th, 2021.

Maylie, a beautiful senior rescue Lhasa Apso, arrived October 30th, 2021 for a short stay on the farm. Turned out, Maylie is a grumpy dog who after losing her first human mommy, liked only one person, Farmer Deb. In her five month stay, Maylie had nine biting incidents, including biting Poppy Howard and Deb's grandson, Wilford! Even with professional training, Maylie let us know she did *not* like farm life. With great sadness (and more than a bucket of tears), Farmer Deb reluctantly rehomed her. Good news is, Maylie has found the right living situation for her and is again living the best life for her: like how she started, she is again with a senior lady who has no visitors, and she gets to be a little diva who wears all the little pretty dresses Farmer Deb bought for her. Important lesson (re-)learned - sometimes when you love something, you have to let it go.

With Maylie's departure came new opportunities for other canine companions who have formed a new pack. First to the farm June 6th 2022 was another senior rescue, sweet Rosie, a black Shih Tzu/Lhasa mix, who is the official greeter for the farm. A bit timid, but very loving and friendly once she knows you. The most recent addition to the pack is Bertie Boy, a rescue Pekinese who is goofy and playful and a lot of fun. He has helped Rosie mellow her separation anxiety, and they have become fast friends.
