WILLAPA BAY HERITAGE FARM
History of
Willapa Bay
Heritage Farm
Founded in 2017 on the site of the former world-famous Clarke Rhododendron Nursery, Willapa Bay Heritage Farm is a hobby farm demonstration project nurturing sustainable living, animal welfare, and organic farming practices.

Our
Farm
We’ve planted a “pinot folly” vineyard where there isn’t even an appellation.
Currently developing a learning curriculum for 4H and Future Farmers of America students, our intent is to become a “farm-to-table” venue for non-profit fundraisers with our ultimate goal being to grant the farm to the community in perpetuity.

The red farm workers cottage used to be the office for the nursery.

Our
location
WBHF is located just over the Columbia River from Astoria, Oregon on the Willapa Bay side of the narrow Long Beach Peninsula, home of the “world’s longest beach”. Willapa Bay produces ~25% of the US’s oyster haul and is a national wildlife preserve.
Two hours 10 minutes from Portland and about 3 hours 15 from Seattle.
The Long Beach peninsula is a great getaway spot to relax and enjoy nature.
